CAD Tools for Hardware Design
The Institute for Computer Systems has a long tradition in creating both hardware and software systems. Typically, these two aspects of system design are treated separately. Modern Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), however, have reduced the gap between hardware and software. Our group's research focuses on tools which make the construction of hardware in the form of FPGA designs a fast and simple process. The systems we have built are used in education and research.
The CAD Tools were written by Prof. N. Wirth, Stephan Gehring, Stefan Ludwig and Marco Sanvido.
